Windows 7 versus Windows 8

So I just ordered my m17x and I opted to go with windows 7 over windows 8, even though it was a free upgrade. Windows just has a habit of every other version sucking (2000 sucked, xp good, vista sucked, 7 good, 8 sucks?) I mean I kinda feel like if I wanted a tablet I would have bought a tablet. But for some reason I'm second guessing my decision. Just wondering if anyone has some insight into whether I made a wise decision or not.

That's on you man. You're going to mostly get that it sucks in this forum. I can tell you it is very nice once you get the hang of it and setup your Metro to your liking. My wife and I both feel like it is a big step forward for MS, who has been stuck on desktop for far too long. I would classify her as a general user and myself as an advanced user, but not a master or anything. I know how to manipulate Windows but I spend more time playing games and reading/posting on forums than messing with my PC.

I definitely highly recommend it.

I agree. I am have been 100% pleased with it.
