Windows 7 Sporadic Internet Connection Loss

Hello,

Was hoping someone could help.

I installed Windows 7 on my sister’s desktop a few days back, and ever since then, the internet on it would sporadically quit working, but it could still see the network…I’m still able to connect to my NAS and see other computers on the network.

I’m thinking it’s a Windows 7 issue and not my router because all other computers and the playstation still have internet connection while this particular desktop does not. I’m sure it’s not a hardware issue because the motherboard and Ethernet worked fine under XP with no issues.

So I’m thinking it’s a Windows 7 issue or a Windows 7 driver issue. The motherboard is an Asus P5Q SE Plus, and I downloaded and installed the latest driver from the Asus website.

I do have a question, how do I uninstall the driver and go back to the one that comes with Windows 7? I mean, I know how to uninstall the driver, but how do I get the Windows 7 driver that was initially installed back on? I haven’t tried this, but I’m thinking once I Uninstall the driver, Windows 7 won’t automatically revert back to the one it came with. I apologize, I’m at work and cannot test out this theory

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me? Any help with this is greatly appreciated

UPDATE: Just wanted to update; Disabling and then enabling the network adapter in Device manager resolves the issue.

Honestly, I'm not very proficient with computers, so I'm not exactly sure what that means, I was just hoping that adding that little bit would help other help me figure out what's wrong.

Again, any help with this is greatly appreciated
