Windows 7 SP1 and Catalyst Drivers

Howdy...

Just put SP1 on my Windows 7 64-bit.... now my Catalyst 11.2 drivers CLIstart startup item pops up with a UAC permission request with every boot. I tried uninstall/reinstall, but no help. I can uncheck the item through msconfig and it goes away, but I'd like to have a fix/reason instead. Anyone else have this issue? Solution?

Thanks.

Windows 7 64 here with 11.2 and working fine. I'd try completely uninstalling the drivers, reboot, and reinstall them. If it still gives you problems try the previous driver version.

Thanks for your replies... I forgot to mention that these are the mobility drivers (on a laptop)... I tried a clean reinstall, but it didn't help. ::sigh::

I updated my daughter's laptop with SP1, she had Catalyst 10.2... I then updated to 11.2... she does not seem to have the same problem.

Is there anyone who installed SP1 on Windows 7 x64 with Catalyst Mobility 11.2 drivers?

In order to get SP1 to install on my machine I had to roll it back a few months. Looked at the version of Catalyst before I was going to try for the last time to try to install SP1 and I had 10.2 drivers. SP1 installed, now have 11.2, no issues. Go figure.

Don't know if this is relevant or not, but there is a thread in Guru3Ds ATI drivers section about troubles installing SP1 after using Driver Cleaner or TWL's cleaner.

Yes, just did a clean install of Win7 64bit on my laptop with the 11.2s.
No issues at all.

I installed Win7 , then SP1(i downloaded the standalone installer), then any updates that were left.

Laptop is an Asus G73JH w/mobility 5870.
