I have technet and will be getting the RTm in 2 weeks which i will install promptly. a fresh install over vista ultimate. i dont know if they will give me enterprise or ultimate but thats beside the point.


basically,

RTM = final retail?
 
RTM = release to manufacturing is basically the final release. all thats left is for other munufacturers to make nessesary changes for the final general availability.
so RTM = indicates that the software is stable enough for release
SO GO AND GET IT! i have and noticed quite a performance boost compared to previous builds...
 
I seriosly doubt that 🙂
last microsoft tech days seminar i was at they made it quite clear that no free copies of windows 7 RTM will be available

some of us are lucky enough to have a boss paying for a technet subscription 😀
installed RTM and am pretty sure i will have a key before activation period expires

..by way of clarification: This means "Official Beta Testers": the people who were invited by Microsoft to participate. Not the individuals who avail'd themselves of the free download.
