Plenty of Hash generating tools out there like HashTab.

Out of curiosity, where did you find the hash values on Technet? I have a Technet Plus Retail Subscription, but could not see to locate them. Thanks.

Their are other ways to get the RTM besides technet 🙂

Those early releases where Frankenstein builds though. They were made by WZT which had only been able to get the files but not the completed iso so they couldn't be verified. They built a make shift iso from older files using poweriso or ultraiso.

But why does my hash match exactly what people are getting off of technet?

no one got anything off technet... they all got it in the same illegal ways as you.

Its not out on technet till aug 9. You didnt download it last week unless you mean last Wednesday, I believe is the day it was leaked.

Also they technet hashes were posted on someones technet blog, as was a bunch of other information, some already proven false. So until it is actually released to technet, personally, I wouldnt completely trust the information. Though it seems that leak should be fine and is safe. And if I had a need to reinstall right now, I would.

What date did you download?

Was it an iso file?

Maybe you have connections and received the leak early then anybody else. I didn't see it until July 24 but there were plenty of things floating around after July 14th. Just couldn't verify if they were untouched iso files or not.
