Windows 7 repair disk on different system

Can I use a system repair disk I made on one computer (using the "Create System Repair Disc" utility) to repair windows 7 on a different computer? I don't have a windows 7 disk and I need to repair a different system.

I haven't built a "System Repair Disk", but I'm pretty sure it's just the repair and diagnostics utilities that are present on every Win7 Install DVD. I'd expect it to work on any Win7 system.
