Windows 7 Release Date Delivery and Amazon

So i pre-ordered Windows 7 when they first offered it at 50$ for home and 100$ for business from amazon.
i then got picked for the house party, got the free ultimate windows 7 and canceled my business copy, but still expected my home premium for my wife and her laptop.
today, no UPS. i get an email from amazon about 7:30pm PST that they are refunding my shipping since they couldn't deliver, then i just checked my mail and got another email from amazon telling me they had problems, they were sorry, and they gave me a ten dollar gift certificate and i should have windows tomorrow.
i would be mad, but house party saved the day.
anyone else have "release day" shipping issues?
 
Heh, I have 'free super saver shipping' and it's not even supposed to ship until the 26th. Fortunately I have an edu copy already downloaded..
 
Free shipping from Amazon stinks. It was good last holiday season though so maybe it will get better in another month. Newegg doesn't discriminate against free shipping purchasers when they ship so I got it from them.
 
I had the same thing with Amazon and 2 win7 home upgrades.

Guess an xtra day of waiting is worth the shipping refund and $10 coupon 🙂

I already have 2 win7 pro from the msdn aa anyways and was debating even keeping my order anyways.
