Hello. I have a question about Windows 7 installation. I am using usb booting from pendrive. Sometimes when i am booting from usb windows 7 , on 1 screen when you choose language there is a freez , no keyboard working and no mouse. I must use hard reset. Is this something to worry about?
I am using stock system, 4790k, 16gb DDR 1600mhz, Saberooth Z97 Mark 2. But no errors in memtest86.

I want to be sure that all is ok with memory. When I get to the language selection the mouse and keyboard stop working and no cursor appears, they both work in bios so I don't know what the issue is. Then i must use hard reset. Its totally random but always work after second boot and then windows load with mouse cursor and keyboard works.

You don't have Win 7 installed on the rig yet?

If you do I think you can do the following also.

Click Start, type mdsched.exe in the Search box, and then press Enter. Choose whether to restart the computer and run the tool immediately or schedule the tool to run at the next restart. Windows Memory Diagnostics runs automatically after the computer restarts and performs a standard memory test automatically.

Is this a Skylake system? Windows 7? You know that Windows 7's installer doesn't have xHCI drivers, and you have to work around, right? Look in your BIOS for "PS/2 port 60/64 emulation" or simply "PS/2 port emulation", and enable it. I had to do that on my ASRock Z170 Pro4S motherboard(s), to install Windows 7.

Otherwise, you may be having hardware issues.

Make sure your boot drive is plugged an Intel USB port, and not one of the asmedia connections. As others have said, go ahead and get the latest BIOS on the board as well. Several stability updates since initial release.
