Windows 7: printer and folder sharing not working like XP Pro...

my wife shares 'My Pictures' and my printer...everything was great until I upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit.

Now I can't get the shares to work. It asks her for a password. If I use my administrator acct it says the password as expired.

Also on a side not my network card is showing 'cable unplugged' when connected to her laptop. To my router it's fine. Under XP we used this same setup and the same NIC's.

anyone have a step by step?
