Win10 is NSA's wet dream. Its 1984 on steroids. Its Hitlers hard on.

Apps spy on you, cortana spies on you, even basic search spies on you, telemetry spies on you, they log your key strokes, automated updates that can't be stopped, searching and analyzing your hard drive for "pirated" software, directed ads on all the programs you are using, geo data, personal data, business data, etc... its all collected and sent to microsoft.

Nothing new, people gave up their rights on mobile long ago. Same with Android and probably iOS... they spy even more ... where you go and what you do...

When Windows decided a teenagers phone was more important than an adults computer, they lost me. Win10 is better (than 8), but it's still a teens toy. Apps, tiles and the general UI suck for getting anything done.

Now Microsoft wants to take Windows Live Mail away from Win7 users. Why?? They have try to strong-arm me over to their new crappy OS!

That's a news to me. Luckily, I don't use it. Maybe it's going to re-appear in Windows Store... the same way games did. Dressed up in new colors and features. The bright future awaits us. Heh.

I upgraded my two desktops to Win10 but i told my two sis in laws not to since i knew their video cards did not have supported drivers for Win10. It would probably work but i do not want to deal with it if it did not.

I know what you're saying about the drivers. My laptop has an old hd6970m which still has support, however my desktop soundcard hasn't had any official driver support from asus since the beta driver for 8.1. Fortunately unidriver does a fine job and it works great because of them. Since MS wants everyone to get on the 10 bandwagon you'd think that driver support would be better than it is.

Nah, you get 10 for "free", it ruins your system, so you have to buy a new computer, and "pay" for a copy of 10.

Don't know if Microsoft is actually thinking that way, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I've decided to not upgrade to 10 based on the fact the Microsoft keeps pestering me with non stop updates about it. I mean for gods sakes man just stop. It's getting ridiculous.

Here's a lovely update notice that I got today. I mean really just STOP!

yep, I've disabled optional updates, still it automatically selected Windows 10.

Just hide the update and you're done.

For now.

For the record, I've upgraded to Windows 10, now on dual boot mode.

Just make sure to install the latest GWX Control Panel. If you installed it months earlier, make sure to update it. The updates in Nov and Dec changed to bug you again.

Now all we need is something to rip out all the spyware crap. I don't even care if it breaks metro/tablet part of the UI and cortana or w/e as long as basic search still works and we can still run desktop applications. Something that just spammed garbage data to these clandestine inputs would be almost as good and have the added advantage of poisoning the well and making any gathered data less valuable to microsoft.

Just looked at the Steam hardware survey, less than 30% using Windows 10, it was a little higher back in October but I guess some rolled back to Win 7 or 8.
