I just installed W7 on my computer and want put all the M$ Crap at the top of the Start > All Programs into a folder "Microsoft Crap" so I can find it if I ever want to use it.

I am getting this pop-up window:

Location is not available
C:\ProgrmaData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Crap\ is not accessible.
Access is denied.

This site is very good dealing with crap.

As far as computers go, I do not fully understand what is that you want to do.

The Program Folders are here, C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

If Windows Explorer does not let you see the folder, download this simple free file.

Run it (no need to install) and make a link to the desktop.

The location is right:

C: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

And create a new folder (elevated as admin) and move all the shortcuts there.

You can right click on the Windows Live ID that shows on your screen shoot and drag it to the desktop to create a Short cut (same with any other icon in the Start Menu.

From the Desktop you can Copy Move whatever to any location of your choice (or leave it on the Desktop).

I'll also agree, there shouldn't be a need to browse the "All Programs" list too often any more.

<edit> Unless you use a tremendous number of apps *and* have an aversion to typing a few characters.
