Windows 7 or 8 for new build?

I just built a new computer (my old components plus some upgrades) for my wife and installed the OEM copy of windows 7 that I already owned for this computer. I'm expecting this computer to last for at least 5 years before it needs replacing. (Athlon II x3 2.9ghz 785G board 8GB Ram 128GB SSD 2TB HD) Should I stick with windows 7 or upgrade her to windows 8 now? Will windows 7 stop getting updates before this machine is obsolete?

OEM is already installed on a homebuilt.

Windows 7. No need to buy a new OS license. Windows 8 really only makes a difference if you have a touch screen.
