I hibernate my notebook while a video is playing in vlc player. Then I turn on my notebook two hours later and it resumes to the login screen. The video I was playing immediately starts continuing where it left off even though I havent logged in yet!

Is there a way to stop this? I dont care if I have to suspend everything while at the login screen.

Humm, this is a shot in the dark, but you could try disabling Fast User Switching.

Seems to me that is the way hibernate is supposed to work. It records what was in memory when it started, and will continue that when it resumes. The easy solution is not to use hibernate. Try sleep.

Every time I open bs player it changes all the file associations automatically. I'm not liking that. I would look in the option to see if I can disable that "feature" but I dont want to have to do my file associations again! I'm thinking I may have been trolled...
