Windows 7 keeps updating the same updates.

This has gone on for a few days now. I dl and install the updates and see them in the list of successfully installed updates then the next day turn around and repeat the process for the same updates.
They are....
KB3021952
KB3032359
KB3004375
KB3031432
I have my update status set to " check for updates but let me choose whether to dl and install them".
I use Extended Disk Cleanup using this command line "%SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535" to keep everything clean.
Could this possibly have anything to do with this or no?
Any ideas?

IIRC there is either a log entry, registry key or kext/dll somewhere that tells the OS which updates have been successfully applied and which ones still need to be.

Like most system files, it can get corrupted and therefore will not work as designed. Deleting it and using the update control panel to download & install more updates should cause it to be recreated and function correctly from that point forward.

You will most likely have to redo any/all of whatever updates which were applied after the corruption occurred...

This would be the log file I mentioned in the post above yours. The link gives all the information on how to reset this.

Someone mentioned corrupted OS files, and I'd give an equal chance the problem may derive elsewhere as some have suggested.

But you may want to run SFC /SCANNOW from the command window.

I had an old LGA-775 system in use last year, in which there was a similar problem with Windows Updates. Eventually, there were more indications in the Event Logs that something was wrong. There was a bad memory stick in the system, and I later discovered that the PSU had been dying. This led to OS-file corruption, and a failure of the routine Windows updates.

If they're showing up as available to install AND are successfully installing, there is probably something else wrong.

Maybe try uploading C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log to pastebin and link us to it, Achilleslastand.

I've seen this before. Deleting C : \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb fixed it for me.
