Windows 7 iso from digital river

Greetings all,

I just downloaded and installed the Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 ISO from digital river which is supposed to be the official site for MS. The version was X17-24209. I will be getting an activation key from my dad next week.

I was thinking that the activation period would be 30 days but when I just checked it was only 3 days.

Did I do something wrong or will I have to reinstall next week when I get the activation code?

You can Not activate without the Key.

You can extent the trial to 30 days and activate when you get the key.

------------

1. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories. Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run As Administrator. Enter your administrator password.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

slmgr -rearm

There is space after slmgr and hyphen in front of rearm.

3. Restart Win 7.

Once the OS restarts, the Properties dialog described above will indicate that Win 7 Trial period has been reset to the 30 days.
