Windows 7 installation problem (no window)

I boot from DVD and it starts loading files, then I get a windows background. Then a window with options should pop-up (Clean Install, upgrade,...). The only problem is that it doesn't. Please, help.

There might be a problem with DVD-RW (new). In windows I can't read from CD's and DVD's, but I can write on them. But boots just fine from it (meaning it can read from them).

Tried it with different Windows 7, Vista. The only thing that works is XP

install xp and then upgrade to see if that resolves?

I finally got it installed (from USB). After installing some programs, I tried to read from DVD. No problem. Then I installed MagicISO, it woudn't read again. I re-installed Windows, did not install MagicISO, again it doesn't work. When I put in a DVD/CD, HDD lights up (no blinking) and stays that even after I remove the DVD/CD.

Sounds like a malfunctioning optical drive then, good to hear you got it resolved

Is the Windows install disc a DVD-R? If so, use better media. Memorex just doesn't cut it.
