I’ve just built a new machine (see specs in sig) and am now ready to load Win 7 x64. It's been a LOOOOONG time since I've built a new rig and I'm a little unclear on the latest driver installation procedures. Below is the sequence of the install that I plan to follow: 1. Windows 7 64-Bit 2. Intel Chipset Drivers 3. Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (for SATA AHCI) 4. Intel Management Engine Interface Driver 5. LAN Driver 6. A Nvidia GTX 660 GPU Driver 6. B (Should I also install Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU driver) 7. Audio Driver 8. USB 3.0 Driver 9. Mouse Driver 10. Intel SSD Toolbox 10a. Run the tool to verify AHCI and optimize the SSD’s 11. Windows Update 12. Run Windows Experience Index (WEI) to disable de-fragmentation and "sync" windows accelerators I’m hoping to receive any comments on the order in which I install the drivers, and if I should make any changes. Also, I don’t plan to use the Lucid Virtu MVP on this board, because I don’t game, and I don’t want any conflicts or issues when I go to calibrate the monitor. Since I’ll be using the Nvidia GTX 660 as my primary GPU, is there any reason to install the Intel integrated GPU (HD 4000) display drivers? Thanks for your help!
