I know Windows 7 lets you install for 30 days before you have to put in a key.
I'm going to have the ability to buy Windows 7 for really cheap in a few weeks, but I really need to install it now. I have access to a Windows 7 Ultimate disk that I got from my school.
If I use this disk to install Windows 7, will I be able to enter in a key from any version later on or will I absolutely have to use Windows 7 Ultimate? I might be able to buy Ultimate but I'm not sure yet.
Is there a possibility that my school uses some weird corporate version that won't work with the version I get in a few weeks?
I vaguely remember somebody saying that the Windows7 install disk has all versions on it and determines which one you get by the key that you use. So I'm sort confused as to how this works.
