Windows 7 in Parallels

I want to install Windows 7 on my MBP. Ideally I'd do so via Parallels. So I bought Parallels 5, installed it, and then fired it up to install Windows 7.

I used the ISO that I bought from DigitalRiver (via the Student discount deal). It started fine and then told me that I couldn't do it because it was for upgrades only. I know the DigitalRiver deal said it was for upgrades only, but I had no problem using it to do a clean install of Win7 on my desktop.

So I have 2 questions:

1. Is there some workaround for this issue?
2. Can I install my old copy of Win2k or XP and then upgrade to Win7?

Thanks.
