Windows 7: How to index/search files with no extension

Any one has an idea how to add files with no extension to Windows 7 indexing ? They are just files containing plain ASCII text but happen to have no extension.

Is there any way to force that these files are made part of the file search or I have to look for a tool somewhere else ?

P.S: No, the extension is not hidden. No, I do not want to rename them.

do a search for "*."? Don't know about 7 specifically but that has worked for me except it might find folders as well.
