Windows 7 Folders Questions

I skipped Vista and am only now hopping on with Windows 7. One of the features I sorely miss in Windows 7 is the ability to set up different folder views and save them. For example, I may have 3 or four folders open in Windows XP and have each one in a separate corner of the desktop. In Windows XP, the next time I open those folders, it will remember it's last position and how the content in each folder is arranged. So far, I haven't been able to duplicate this in Windows 7. I've made all the changes to "classic view" but haven't worked this issue out.

I'm sure it's just a case of PEBKAC on my behalf. Can someone help me?
