Best thing is to clean up the system from ZA or any other 3rd party Suits/Apllication.

Then use the free Security Essentials as a AntiVirus/Spyware application.

If you do need 3rd party Firewall use this, it is free and works well with Win 7.

http://www.pctools.com/firewall/download/

It is OK to use other security application as scanners, but I would not use any thing else that is active and intercept the Network Signal.

That's pretty weird. The "normal" problem is that Windows Firewall keeps turning off. I've never seen it turn itself on.

Your PC isn't part of a Domain, is it?

What happens when you manually go into the "Services" control panel of Windows and set the startup behavior to "Disable" for the "Windows Firewall" service?

That's what I did before.
It re-enables itself.
Strange huh?

Got me stumped.

Go into your services and kill it. Set it to NEVER run. That should keep it turned off.

right click on my computer (click on manage)

Click on services in the service and apps folder...

Find 'windows firewall'

Right click, properties stop it if it's still running, and in startup type make set to disabled.

If it still runs after that then you have permission problems or a virus.

Unless it came from the factory with a virus, I don't have one. At least one that isn't detectable by McAffee, Trend Micro, and Norton. This started on day one when I started the computer up.

Since I am the administrator and the only account on the machine I'm not sure how my permissions are wrong.

It doesn't start up anymore once I deleted the program.
