Windows 7 does not Recognise DV Camera

Please can someone help, I have a panasonic NVGS15 DVC, I have a new PC running W7 but when I connect the camera it recognises it as a webcam only.

I have tried everything. I asked in the loacal PC shop they said I need to download new drivers for the camera. I have tried this but cannot find any at all not even on the panasonic website.

I have previously used WWM with the same camera and it recognised it straight away, I just dont get the capture from video device option on this PC.

What am I doing wrong???????????

Searching Google for panasonic nv gs15 driver brings up lots of links to people with similar problems. The two themes I found in a quick check suggest:

1. You should check your computer's motherboard manufacturer for the latest drivers.

2. You can only do video through a firewire connection, not through USB (if this is part of your problem).

You may find more good leads at the link. 🙂
