Windows 7 Desktop Background Slideshow not working...?

The pictures won't change, no matter what time interval I put for the switch, or whether shuffle is turned on or not. It doesn't matter if it's a custom slide show or one of the pre-installed ones (e.g., architecture). The only way it will switch is if I R-click on the desktop and say to move to the next background.

Any ideas?

It might be your power profile, I believe low power turns off the desktop slideshow. The setting can be found in the advanced settings of CPL\Power options.

Thanks Rhonda, that was it! I had it set to the "high performance" power setting, but for some reason the desktop slideshow was on "paused". Changing it to "available" solved my problem, but I never would have known to check there without your help. Thank you again! 🙂
