The backstory is I want to use icc color profile I got from tftcentral.co.uk and of course I made sure I followed their instructions to set it up.
The problem is that it is completely random whether the icc profile is applied or not during Windows log on. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It happens even if I log out and then log back in. No need to even reboot or turn off computer.
It's getting to be a real pain in the ass. I've tried adding the icc profile as system default, user default and even both at the same time with randomness still persisting like a rash from hell.
I've been googling for help and even found quite a lot of pages detailing similar issues, but in all of those cases the culprit was said to be a specific software that deals with color or gamma management. I have none of those, not even Adobe's Gamma Loader.
I have AMD Radeon 7850 though and Catalyst Control Center has it's own desktop color settings. The problem might be caused by Catalyst Control Center overriding Windows color management for whatever reason. But as it stands, I have no other software that might cause this. So it's gotta be either CCC or just Radeon driver bug. But if that was the case, you'd think there'd be a lot more people fuzzing over this problem, wouldn't there?
I've even reformatted the OS partition and the problem still persists.
