Hi,
In Thailand I have a PC on which I clean-installed Windows 7 (Home Premium 64 bit) from a (genuine) Microsoft installation disc (English). I shall return to the UK in a few weeks time and buy a new PC with Windows 7 - Home Edition 64 bit pre-installed with all the usual bloatware. I would like to perform a clean install (on a solid state drive). Can I use my Thai-bought installation disc ("only for activation in S.E Asia") to perform the clean install, but activate using the new UK product key?
Thanks for any help.

From Mike P:
A second thought/question: Can I instead download a Windows 7 Home Premium ISO (from Digital River) for free and install from this? Then activate with my new UK product key?

The Thai disc will probably not accept an out of region key. It's definitely worth a shot since generally they want to keep Thai keys from being used in highly developed countries and not the other way around, but don't be shocked if it fails.

If it does fail, then the Digital River ISO will work fine.
