Windows 7. Can't click on anything!

This weird problem started cropping up randomly.

I can't click on anything using the touchpad or the mouse. The pointer moves, but nothing responds when I click it, anywhere. Not the taskbar, start button, desktop icons, nothing. The only thing that I think responds are things like browser windows that happen to be open at the time.

I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL and close and restart Explorer.exe to get things back to normal.

And then it happens again after a couple hours.

Have you tried disconnecting the mouse and then pluggin it back in the tower bud?

Good luck!

If you've recently enabled a custom desktop theme, revert to a default theme to test touchpad and mouse functions.
