Windows 7 bookmarks and email from XP

I have XP 32-bit, upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit.

Will my Firefox bookmarks import to Windows 7?
If I use Mozbackup will that import my passwords?
Can I import my TBird emails?

Thanks

XP 32 bit here, probably going to same in Win7 also.
Also wondering if Mozbackup is working for Win7? It's saved me more than once in reformats with FF and T-Bird.

There's an addon that will backup all of your firefox settings, addons, bookmarks and all that. I forget what its called.

Don't know about tbird.

There's no reason for your bookmarks to care what operating system you're running 🙂. If it's a reinstall just export them first and save them to some media somewhere, install the OS and Firefox, then import them again.

For Thunderbird email you need to save the data file and then install it back in when the new OS is installed. Might even be easier to use export/import here as well.

I know, Mozbackup, but will that transfer my settings from a 32-bit OS to a 64--bit OS?

It's the same program in both cases, unless there is a native 64-bit version of TBird. I know there isn't one for Filezilla. Anyway, I haven't used TBird in awhile, but I'd be pretty confident that the settings will restore just fine. As in anything of this kind keep a solid backp of everything so that you can recover and try different approaches if needed. I spent last night installing Windows 7 64-bit, so I feel your pain.
