I found this the other day and while reading through it I was rather impressed with all the work this team is putting into windows 7. I also found some insight into their thinking this time around about making things faster overall.

Also, the post on the upcoming RC release fixes many of my gripes about some of the functionality in the beta such as:
Use folder link in start will no longer direct to libraries but c:/users/userfolder/
the same with the my computer shortcut on the taskbar by default.
There's about 35 changes they highlight and most of them are really nice.
