Hey guys. I've had a DVICO Fusion 7 USB TV Tuner that I use with my laptop. It's worked just fine (as a TV Tuner can), on Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista x64, and now I'm using Windows 7 x64.

When I say worked fine, I mean as fine as a TV Tuner can. As in, it can sometimes be a BITCH to get set up, but for the most part gets set up.

This time, I'm running into issues getting it going on Windows 7 x64. I'm using the latest 3.80 driver and have already submitted a report to DVICO but could be a week before I hear from then so I thought I would try here.

Alright, first things first, the Tuner utilizes three drivers, all based on a Samsung XC5000 chipset. An Analog Capture Device Driver, a Digital Capture Device Driver, and an Audio Capture Device Driver.

When installing the driver, the Analog Capture Device Driver and the Digital Capture Device Driver install just fine. The problem is the Audio Capture Device Driver. It fails with the following error:

"a service installation section in this INF is Invalid"

I can get into the accompanied software just fine and access all digital and analog channels but as expected there is *no* audio.

Anyone have any ideas on a quick fix?

It is probably looking for a specific version number of a file and so it is not installing.
Open the .inf file and find what service it is referring to, that will give you some clue as to what the problem may be.
