Windows 2k font problem

A couple people here at work are having problems with their fonts being incorrect...
The easiest way for me to explain is with the following example...

1. Go to Fonts folder
2. double click font like Arial for example

Here is the problem... The Window showing the font you just opened shows a different font and font name! Like Opening Arial might display Courier....

Any Ideas on what caused this and what might fix it? They said it seemed to have happened after the last Windows Update.
