Windows 2K & EZCD 4.05 is hanging up on me !!!!

And my HDD light stays on....CRAP!!

Anyone seen this ?

This PC has the Epox 8K7A and the latest via 4in1s along with the AMD driver.

W2K patched to the max....just did a clean install.

As soon as I try to open EZCD or Direct CD....I'm screwed....

I had this on a 98se box and it worked just fine....what am I missing here.

(Except the new Lite-ON from Newegg that comes with Nero ) LOL

is this a retail version of ez cd creator you're using??
personally I'd use the bundlied copy of nero!

Yeah...the retail version.

It work fine on my 98se box cause since I posted this I had to put my burner back in the old box and re-install the SAME version.

I burned 3 CDs no problem....

It must have some thing to do with W2K...

So when I upgrade this 98 box to XP....I'm really gonna be screwed I guess.

I'm getting closer & closer to the Lite-On from Newegg.

It just never ends....

I suspect that win2k lack of ASPI layer may be to blame here.
suggest you download ForceAspi.
the unzipped file tells you exactly what to do!

EZCD and Win 2K have several issues. I ran into one of them a while back when I uninstalled EZCD and Win 2K did not recognize or show my HDD or the CDRom. I found my fix in the Windows Knowledge Base site. Perhaps your answer is there also. Good Luck
