I got Windows 2K Pro and SP4 installed. I have disable the sharing of all my drives (Do not share this folder), like C: and D:. But when I restart the machine, the sharing of all the drives are all enable. Pls help ! thanks !!
Do you mean you are turning off the administrative shares (C$, D$, IPC$, ADMIN$)? If so those are recreated again everytime you reboot. There is a registry change to get rid of them permanently. Or you can just remove File and Printer Sharing in your network setup.
This article explains how to stop windows from recreating those shares. However you won't be able to remotely administer your machine if they are gone. Just an FYI in case you need to do that in the future.
