windows 2k and sound card problems

Does anyone know how to get a diamond mx300 working under win2k? I havent been able to get windows to recognize any of the drivers (i tried diamond, aureal) any one have any ideas? thanks

it should work right when you plug it in with the drivers on the win2k cd
