I returned home tonight ready to watch a movie instantly on netflix and my computer was acting funky. It wasn't reading my main harddrive and booted off of a different one. The one it accidentially booted off is a better HD but it's a long story and I had to use the older IDE HD for this install of windows.

So, I'm worried about that IDE hd and I want to install windows server 08 because I got it through Dreamspark and have heard good things.

SO...my question..the IDE drive is currently my C drive. Can i use daemon tools to mount the server 08 iso and then reformat the d drive, the better hd, and install windows on it?

I don't have a DVD burner so I can't burn the iso to a dvd and it's 1.8gig so it obviously won't fit on a cd.

Apologies for such a boring question.

Thanks much!

Server 2008 drivers are right here on Intel's site:
Intel

Note that Server 2008 may have problems recognizing non-gigabit NICs. There are workarounds for that.

Thanks, I discovered that the other day. My card is on the list of incompatible cards, but after installing the drivers it works fine!

I'm really enjoying server 08...my OS needed a facelift from xp.
