windows 2003 terminal services desktop question

I want to be able to see the desktop wallpaper when I connect to a TS server. Even when it's set in the client, I can't see the desktop on the remote server. Just the default blue. I also made sure that "disable desktop" is not set in the TS properties on the control panel of the server. Anything else I might have overlooked?

It's on the experience tab.

thats under the remote desktop client, you can enable/disable features like this to improve your "experience". You should see an experience tab if you click options. This is for Windows XP/2003 Remote Desktop Client (Terminal Services Client)

Yeah like I said though, I set it all to max (LAN) so showing desktop wallpaper is enabled. I'm thinking it's something on the server I have to set or something.

On the server, go to TS configuration, connections and then double-click on the RDP-tcp connection. Go to the client settings tab and check to make sure everything is set up correctly there.

Yep tried that too. There's not really anything there strictly about desktop, but somewhere else I did find a "active desktop" option and I tried setting it to off then back on just for fun, no luck Is there somewhere in the registry perhaps that I can change this?
