This is a great board and usually I can find what im looking for without the need to sign up but this for me is a bit tough being that im not an expert on this OS so here is my problem
basically im trying to get backup exec to send me an email (actually to my phonenumber@mycarier.net) when back up is done or if there is a problem. the mailserver is running w2k3 server small busines and it for some reason, will only send emails via veritas/backup exec internally. in the backup exec program i use the internal ip for the smtp, ive tried using a working smtp and it worked fine. its just when i add my own it wont work. any tips or suggestions would be great. if im leaving out any info just lemme know. TIA
