Windows 2003 server vs Windows 2000

Which is better for a desktop environment. FIrst of all, please do not insult me for using these network geared OS's as desktops. Most of what I do on a desktop is not gaming or multimedia rich applications, but things like using Microsoft Word and all that. I prefer 2000 over XP, I do not know why, probably because I have had less issues with 2000. But WIndows 2000 or WIndows 2000 Server? Which one is good for someone who wants a highly reliable, highly stable, and highly efficient and fast system?

Is Windows 2003 faster than and stable than Windows 2000?

Oh, and sorry if any of these questions are stupid or have faults in them, I am a noob at OS'.

God, 2000 if you're doing nothing much apart from office stuff.

The amount of time you'll spend "unlocking" 2003 to get it usuable for the average home user isn't worth it.

2003 is faster, and more efficient at the serving tasks. But 2000 is more reliable and stable (with all SP's). So you can't have all at once...
