Windows 2003 Server SP1

I have downloaded this, and perform a clean install on a testbed server. Did not find any major upgrades to Win2K3 Server other than the nice firewall feature that is exactly the same with WinXP SP2.

Still can't find anything spectacular about SP1 that is entirely a new feature in Win2k3.

The security wizard is nice for people not familiar with win2k3. but I believe there will be lots of people confused and ended up blocking themselves out.

Your thoughts?

Installed it a day for so ago, no differences noted other than the "Secruity Configuration Wizard" it put on the desktop. Since I manage my own security (virus/spyware/firewall/etc.) I haven't bothered with it, and I have not had to beat it back into the corner like you have to do with that stupid and lame XP SP2 firewall.

What track record are you refering to? Statistics from one instance (you) is not a valid indicator of success or failure.

Statistically 1 in 10 SP2 installs fail or have serious issues.... Nor do i consider you the source of infallible information

OMG you don't work for M$... do you?

Yap the other day I installed a metal plate into my front door.

No apparent thing showed new in my apartment.

Right. And 9 out of 10 statistics are made up on the spot.

Who I work for is irrelevant to this conversation.

I downloaded it and installed it today and now I can't access the internet! I didn't try too hard since I was busy doing other stuff, but looks like it is going to take me some time to configure IE.
