windows 2003 file search not working

When I use the search to search for a word Inside a file, it simply returns nothing, or maybe a few files, but I am searching in a folder that I KNOW has that word at many locations. I even made a text file with the word inside to test. It just wont return everything, if nothing at all.

I have indexing turned on that drive, and case sensitivity is off. Any way to make it work better?

I wasn't aware you could search for a string of text in a file. Are you sure that's a feature?

Search is part of Explore. Try doing a repair install. Good luck 🙂
