Windows 2000 startup quirk

When I upgraded to Windows 2000, I chose clean install but didnt manually format the partition on which it was being installed. Therefore, it did clean install, but also kept the old folders from Win98, like "Windows" "Program Files" etc. there. Now whenever I start the computer up, it gives me the option of booting to either Windows 2000 Pro or Windows. But if you choose Windows, nothing happens. Is there anyway of getting rid of this option so it boots straight into Windows 2000?

thx

The easiest way is as follows.

Right click My Computer and select Properties.
Select the Advanced tab then choose the Startup and Recovery button.
Now make sure the Defualt OS is set to Windows 2000 and uncheck Display List of Operating Systems.
