Windows 2000 Sound Question

I just converted my last Win98 system to 2000. (Thank god, no more 9X) For some reason this system doesn't play the "Windows Sound" at startup. I have already checked the obvious and been to Control Panel->Sounds and it is set to do so. I have full sound other than this little annoyance. This is the 815E system listed below with an ASUS CUSL2-C and a Phillips Acoustic Edge which are both known to have strange problems. I guess I just wondered if there was a selection to "play sound at startup"?

Try taking a look in your registry settings. Basically there was a machine at work that had the same problems but it was with a w98 machine. Found out that it was pointing to the wrong location for windows sound in the registry and I just manually fixed it that way. It could be the same problem give it a try and hope it would work ^^
