Windows 2000 sound event list thingie?

They're not stored in an .ini. They're in the registry.

Try looking in:
HKCU\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps

You'll find the keys for sound events there.

I have question for you guys, not sure if this is related or not; I recently upgraded from Win98SE to Win2K Pro. Under Win98 I noticed whenever I pushed the Scan button on my Epson USB scanner or hooked up my Canon digicam to my USB hub, an Event Window would pop up on the screen (with a list of apps to select) and an audible "ding". Under Win2K the Event Window pops up but I don't hear the "ding". If this is related to this thread, how would I enable the audible sound...

Thanks!
