windows 2000 server - hard drive problem

For some odd reason, my computer wont recognize anything more than 130gb on my 250gb hdd. I did a search on yahoo to see if anyone has seen this issue and all I got was to do all my updates on windows...

So far I have updated all I can, and still it doesn't show the whole hdd. Anyone have any fix to this?

Thanks in advance.

Phil

You need Windows 2000 SP3 or higher to support 48-bit LBA to break the 137GB (128GB binary) limitation of 32-bit addressing.

Ideally, you want to either have a pressed Win2000 w/SP4 CD, or build a slipstreamed installation disc yourself.

There's also a registry fix, I believe.
