Windows 2000 Recycle Bin Won't Work No mo

Not sure what I did, but all I recall was downloading some file then Windows 2000 tells me that it couldn't properly save the file to disk and then my recycle bin started acting funny. It kept popping up a message every 30 seconds or so saying that the file can't be saved and should be saved somewhere else. Fixed that, but now after that, every time I delete something off my 2nd harddrive, it won't let me empty the recycle bin. Anyone know any fixes for this? Searched all over the MS site and here, but can't find anything. Thanks for the help ahead of time!
