Windows 2000 question

I use Win2k with 2 FAT32 partitions(1 partition for the OS, the other for data). I am an administrator and was wondering if there was anyway to hide the second partition from Guests? Sometimes stuff gets deleted and accsess frim Guests and I really don't like that. I have been trying to use the Win2k help inside the OS but with no help. Will I have to convert the partition to NTFS? I really don't want to have to do that.

Thanks

you can only set security on fat32 drives. you'll need to convert to ntfs to do that. if u want to convert, then just go to the command prompt and type:

convert /fs:ntfs d: (or the drive u want to convert)

and it will be converted at the next boot. you can then set security. otherwise i don't think there's a way to set security on fat32 drives.

Two things to look at. Go into Disk administrator and see if you can hide the partition. Also, Partition Magic will let you hide a partition.

Bozo 😀
