Hey Everybody...

I notice that when I go into my Windows2000 Pro machine, and choose manage under my computer, that in the administrators group, there are some weird entries in it. For instance: I have the Local Administrator group, then I have a few entries that look like this:

\S-1-5-21 -3747500781 -3894002595 -3579643925 -10603
\S-1-5-21 -3747500781 -3894002595 -3579643925 -1721
\S-1-5-21 -3747500781 -3894002595 -3579643925 -512
Administrator

All of these \S entries have a Microsoft Global group policy symbol in front of them...

Does anyone know what these represent?

Thanks for all help in advance.

Maybe your computer was a member of a domain, and someone has add a domain users to your local administrator group.

Those are probably SID's of a user that Windows can't resolve into a name. Has the computer been Added to, or removed from a Domain? I have seen these appear after a change like that.

They are nothing to worry about. I would just delete them.

Yes this laptop was recently added to a newly created Domain group. Its been a part of a larger Domain for as long as I have had it.
