Windows 2000 Question.. any takers?

Conundrum

Senior member
Ok, here's the deal. Back before I really started to use Windows 2000.. I recall someone telling me about something you can do which will allow you to get more than 60 fps in games. The game in particular I'm hoping to solve this for, is Counterstrike.

Now if anyone knows how I might go about doing this, I would appreciate it greatly. A few people I mentioned this to who didn't know it could be done would appreciate it as well. Hopefully someone knows. If not, I'll start looking around.

Thanks.

There was i belive a registry tweak... sorry i don't know what it is... if you don't get a good answer here, try the post in the software forum.... those guys talk about CS on every page...

<< I believe you're referring to the 60Hz refresh rate issue in OpenGL. The solution is different for every video card (although Powerstrip should work for everyone). >>

Damn.. that little program rocks hard man. I appreciate you directing me to it. My monitor is set to 120Hz refresh rate at 1024X768 and I'm getting 100 fps instead of 60 in CS now. Woo woo... life is good. 🙂

Thank you muchly for the information. 🙂
