Windows 2000 problems

ive setup a win2k server to act as a DHCP, PDC, and Proxy server. this is my problem, on the server itself, i am able to connect to the internet, but eventually, my connection will not connect to sites. i am able to use another computer on the network to browse the net however.

now after i left my area for a couple hours, my workstations are unable to pick up an IP. i even recreated the scope, but its still not assigning ip's to the workstations. im able to login to the domain from the workstation but not get an IP.

any ideas on why they wont pick up an IP, and why my server is very tempermentle? thanks a lot
