hi,
I have dual boot with win2k pro and win98
since yesterday everytime i tried to get online it gives me dns error
i think i deleted some system files
how can i replace system files with win2k cd?
i tried to use erd but after i loaded files from boot disks it says :there is no harware detected.
if i boot up with win98 i can get online
so is there anyway to repace system files from win2k cd on win2k

i think when you insert the win2k cd in the cd-rom, it has an option to restore system files. have you tried that option?

what exactly does the DNS error say?

Are your DNS settings correct? Also, what local security policy do you have setup? If you are set to Secure Server, win2k may not LET you connect to a DNS server.
